Raven's Gate

I am Reading the book Ravens Gate. I haven't gotten far quite yet, tho I have Read about the main character Matt. He is 14 an seems to be known as a problem child. Hes waiting on a park bench for a friend who arrives 20 minutes late an they are planning on robbing a warehouse full of DVDs and video games but Matt is having second thoughts.

    What do you suppose the Ravens Gate is? Is this a book about magic?

    I'm not quite sure but I believe it has something to do with magic and some sort of quest.
