Matt awakes after being told it was all a crazy dream but he knew it was all very real. The next day he went to work on the farm for his foster mother. Day in and day out strange things keep happening to him. Hes hearing voices and strange noises. He learns that his foster mother an all who accompany her are called the ancient ones. They want to gain control of the five gate keepers powers. Matt soon learns that he is the first gate keeper. He trys to escape The ancient ones but they were close behind him. Soon they catch up with him and capture him. The have hostage another boy named Robbert an they become friends. The ancient ones take them to an old building an start to chant. Out from the ground rose stone tablets with ancient writing on them. As the chanting went on, the tablets formed into a giant black shadow monster. Matt knew he had to do something for he and his friend Robbert were going to be sacrefised to the beast. Matt went to run but a man came at him an swung a knife just missing Matt. Matt was so afraid that he started to feel weard. Suddenly he staired at the blade an the man couldnt let it go as it started to glow red hot melting the flesh on the mans hand. he was able to fling it away running away in pain. The beast started to head for a village but matt knew he coild stop it. Matt concentraited and could feel old pipeing from underground rise up an he made the piping grab the beast and rip him apart into the five tablets taking them back underground. Matt and his friend left the building as it callapsed on the ancient ones. Weekes later Matt went on vacation an met another teenage boy, to find out hes about to be on another adventure with the second gate keeper. The end

Back on the train Matt is trying to hide his feelings of his past but as he looks out the window he can see him as a child and his parents the day before there wreck. Suddenly the train stops and they get off. Matt then meets a man named Noah who works on the farm for Jill Houges. They all get in an old busted dirty jeep an take a long ride to Matt's new home. Matt starts to feel sick and as they arrive to the home Matt gets a tour of the house. When he gets to his room Matt starts to black out as he sees a shadow an it says "one of the five" and Matt blacks out.

Matts New Fostermother

Matt meets his new foster mother. Her name is Jill Houges. As she walked threw an alley to meet Matt and to sign the papers to gain temporary custody of him a mugger in a hooded shirt tells her to give him the purse. Minutes later she arrived. Matt was told he was being to live with her for 6 months, with monthly visitation from his aunt. As Matt and his new foster mother they arrived at a coach train station an sat in back in the last seat. Jill Houges told him how she was all he had left now. Meanwhile back in the ally police were everywhere. A body was discovered holding a kitchen knife smiling wearing a hooded shirt. The reporters said they believed he had killed himself.

Matt has been arrested an so has his friend who tried to blame him for the idea and the stabbing. Matt was taken somewhere like prison and was questioned by a young polite man. The security guard who survived told the police what had happened an who had done it. Matt's aunt was called in an asked about Matt and his past. Se tells them how he used to be a great kid till he got involved with some bad people an that Matt lost his parents in an accident when he was very young. Now Matt has showered an has taken something to make him go to sleep till they decide how to punish him for being an accomplice in the crime.

Raven's Gate

In Matt and Kelvins attempt to rob the wearhouse with all the new DVDs and CDs, Matt gets a bad fealing as a hand grabs him by the sholder. A well built security guard stood before him and Matt froze in fear. The guard was nothing like Kelvin had described. The guard questioned Matt but frozen in fear he couldnt speak. Suddenly The guards eyes and mouth oppened wide and as he fell foward Matt seen the hilt of Kelvins knife as his friend Kelvin stood there smileing. Matt wanted to ask him why? wanted to remind him of the promise he had made that the knife was just for breaking in. Kelvin said to Matt that they had to go but Matt stood froze in shock.
